The Galette de Rois is a very popular product amongst Pain Chaud's clientele in Shanghai whilst often coinciding with the dates for Chinese New Year. Our second collaboration with Pain Chaud saw us create the key visuals and packaging for 2024 Galette de Rois and Chinese New Year gift box elements under the theme of "La Galette Du Partage" or the "The Galette of Sharing".

The French tradition of celebrating the Galette sees the family gathered around the table involving searching for a the ceramic Feve inside the pie (watch your teeth🦷!) and the being declared King or Queen for the day whilst Chinese New Year is where families are reunited at home over good food, conversations and blessings of good fortune. With both festivals sharing similar themes, our designs wanted to unite both Eastern and Western themes.
